| "Quiet Day in London Town" |
Just a short journal entry today, since we'll be going out tonight, and I want to try to get to bed right afterwards. Besides, not much to report on today since the only time I left the flat was to go running. I had the best run I've had in months, despite another poor night's sleep (two melatonin and a gin & tonic weren't even enough to put me under, until dawn).
I took more or less the same route as last time - through the side streets of Bloomsbury to Russel Square, then eleven times around the square, dodging pigeons (which surely must be the stupidest bipedal species in the world), and then past Senate House, and back via the same route I used to walk when I was a student at University College.
Rain was threatening again, but it held off until I got home. Brett was still at the Y, swimming, so I took the opportunity to work out using Neil's weights.
And that's about it, really. My sister just called to setup the time and place to meet up this afternoon (we're going out to a club called Limelight for a t-dance, with Kirstie and a couple of her gay friends), and she was shocked that here we were in London and we hadn't done any sight-seeing today!
